THE PLAYGROUND at Droitwich’s St Peter’s C of E Academy was transformed into a battleground on Tuesday as the year four pupils took part in a Roman re-enactment.
All the children had made their own shields to withstand the attack of beanbags and other soft missiles.
The children had been learning about the role the Romans played in shaping Droitwich Spa and the world we live in today.
Other Roman based activities had included making mosaics and a treasure hunt to find secret messages using Roman numerals.
Year four teacher Mrs Todd said: “Today’s activity was a celebration of our learning.
“Activities like these allow us to bring learning to life and to give the children a really memorable experience.”
