DROITWICH Tae Kwon Do is looking forward to 2015 after a very successful end to last year.
Several members scooped accolades at the annual awards ceremony in Worcester.
Phoebe Mace, nine, was named Competitor of the Year for her outstanding achievement in competitions in 2014. Phoebe won multiple medals, mainly golds and silvers, at each event she attended.
Robert Clark was awarded Most Improved Student of the Year after achieving his first belt with flying colours. He persevered through injuries, increased his fitness and set an amazing example to the rest of the students including his daughter Ellie.
Amy Pullen, eight, won Student of the Year for her amazing attitude, perseverance and presence at the school. She had an amazing attendance record and was commended for the good examples she set, her grading performance and the help she gave coaches and other students during lessons.
Head instructor Sally Gleaves, a 4th degree black belt, said she was extremely proud of the students’ progress, adding, with so many exciting events, including the kickboxing world championships in Spain, 2015 promised to be a great year.
The club is offering a month’s free training in January.
