MORE THAN 500 cannabis plants have been seized after police raided an address on the Rushock Trading Estate near Droitwich.
Officers from the Wyre Forest Safer Neighbourhood Team carried out the swoop on Saturday at the premises where three rooms were found to have the plants being grown in them.
They were seized at the scene and will now be destroyed.
No-one was at the premises at the time of the warrant and no arrests were made however, officers say, enquiries are ongoing.
Ch Insp David King of Wyre Forest Police said officers acted on community concerns and intelligence about the cannabis farm.
“Grows such as this one are linked to serious and organised crime and we will always act on intelligence to shut down criminal operations like this which have a harmful impact on the communities we protect and serve.”
He urged anyone with information to contact the police via the ‘Report a Crime’ section of the website or by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
