DROITWICH’S St Richard’s Canal Festival moves into its fourth and final day today (Monday, May 1).
The free event kicked off on Friday and has featured a parade epitomising the town’s historic traditions.
Today the festivities continue around and about Vines Park and on the canal.
From 10am to 4pm there will be canal boat trips on the Pamela May 2 – the carbon neutral vessel.
Art and craft stalls, along with local traders selling an array of goods will take place between 10am and 5pm.
During this time there will also be model boats on the canal.
At 11am there will be the Dog Show.
At 1pm, Blackwell Concert Band will perform, followed by the Debbie Perry Band at 3pm.
And, closing the fantastic festival, will be The Great Droitwich Duck Race on the river in Vines Park.
First prize for the winning duck is £100, followed by runner-up prizes of £50 and £25.
The Standard would like to thank local photographer and historian Paul Jones for providing these pictures which officially opened the event.
