Dumping cement on Droitwich railway track could have led to tragedy

Droitwich Editorial 26th Mar, 2015 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

A DANGEROUS situation was avoided in Oddingley after two bags of cement and a metal plate were placed on a railway line.

Officers from British Transport Police had to remove the items which were put near a level crossing on March 11.

A driver had reported seeing the cement and plates and, luckily, no damage to trains or injuries were caused by the obstruction.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
