THE Droitwich Arts Network (DAN) are celebrating the success of their Easter themed workshop which welcomed over 160 people for a day of creativity.
DAN’s March Dabble Day invited people of all ages to make Easter decorations for their home or as gifts at the arts network hub on St Andrew’s Square (Saturday, March 23).
Organisers say the event proved to be ‘very exciting’, with attendees receiving support and help from artists and members of the network to help get their artistic juices flowing.
Live music played as many embraced getting together through arts and crafts. The ‘artsy buzz’ and ‘enthusiasm’ encouraged visitors to develop skills and techniques with their Easter creations.
Some attendees developed new passions for arts and crafts while others reignited their love for creating.
Dabble Day was organised as a free event.
Hub Organiser, Rhys Jones, said: “Families came into The Hub eager to participate. Activities consisted of experimenting with watercolour painting, origami, kumihimo braiding, making pom-poms, and crochet.
“We had stations for drawing and painting with a range of mediums, whilst others got their hands messy with clay modelling”.
Droitwich Arts Network has more art and craft events lined up for the summer, such as painting “en plein air”, workshops and poetry days.
The Hub is open Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays 10 am to 4 pm.
