EIGHT fire crews battled a large blaze near Droitwich yesterday afternoon.
It broke out around 3.15pm and involved a large number of commercial buildings in Doverdale.
Two engines from Worcester, three from Wyre Forest, one from Bromsgrove, one from Redditch and one from Malvern attended, along with water carriers and Evesham and Leominster.
The fire was fought with three main jets, two hoses and a compressed air foam system.
Firefighters battled to limit the damage to buildings and property and there were no casualties but one ambulance also attended.
Smoke billowing from the blaze could be seen for miles.
The incident was scaled back with firefighters just using one jet to damp down and thermal imaging cameras to ensure there were no hot spots and prevent reignition.
One crew remained in attendance overnight and left around 8pm this morning.
