Elderly man hospitalised after two-car crash in Fernhill Heath

AN ELDERLY man was taken to hospital after a two-car crash in Fernhill Heath on Saturday.

The vehicles collided around 10.30am in Droitwich Road, near to the junction of Station Road.

After contact the man’s vehicle came to rest against a railway bridge.

He was treated at the scene and taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

It is believed he had a medical episode prior to the crash.

A woman who was in the other car was treated at the scene by paramedics before being discharged.

Firefighters from Droitwich and Worcester attended and made sure the vehicles were safe following the collision.

The police were also in attendance.
