RESIDENTS looking to stand in this year’s local elections will be able to take part in special information sessions.
Elections to Wychavon District Council, along with town and parish councils, will be taking place on May 4, 2023, with candidates needing to be at least 18 years old and be British or eligible Commonwealth or EU citizens to stand.
The deadline for nominations for this election is 4pm on Tuesday, April 4.
Applicants can run as an independent with anyone wanting to stand on behalf of a political party able to contact their local office for more information.
Two sessions will be held at the Civic Centre on Queen Elizabeth Drive in Pershore on February 21 and February 23 between 5pm and 7pm.
Anyone who applies to stand in an election must meet certain criteria, which will be explained at the Wychavon nomination sessions.
