A DROITWICH fish and chip shop has revealed the winner of its Christmas card competition.

The award-winning Queens Fish and Chip Bar, which has been a fixture on Queen Street for the past 20 years, asked pupils under the age of 16 and of schools within a two-mile radius to get creative in a bid to win £150 for their school.

The festive cards had to be designed with the shop in mind, incorporating either the logo, food they serve or the company colours, brown and orange.

The overall winner was announced as Emily Hannah Warne of St Peter’s First School whose festive card featured Santa and snowman enjoying some fish and chips with signposts to Queens.

The runners up were Isaac Southam and Maya Southam of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School who will be receiving a gift voucher for Queens.

Manager Paul Singh said: “We received some fantastic submissions and it was very difficult to narrow down the selection so we have decided to select one overall winner and two runner ups.

“We would like to thank all the children for taking the time to design and send in their cards and making this inaugural year such a success.”
