LOCAL garden enthusiasts are preparing to open their gardens to the public this year, in support of the National Garden Scheme.
The National Garden Scheme gives garden owners the opportunity to open their beautiful gardens to the public, whilst raising money for nursing charities across the country.
On the 17 June and 22 July, a traditional cottage garden in Droitwich will be open to the public.
Said to be “A haven on the way to heaven”, this garden is an oasis of colour.
With a 200 year old Stile, a 300 year old olive tree and an assortment of unusual sculptures, visiting this garden will make a fantastic day out.
There will be plants for sale and ‘Silver service’ teas.
The garden opens at 2.30 to 5pm, admission is £3.50 for adults and children can enter for free. This stunning garden can be found at Hiraeth, 30, Showell Road, WR9 8UY.
Droitwich Spa will also be having two open garden events on the 24 June and 15 July.
These events will be running from 2 to 5.30pm, admission will be £3.50 for adults and free admission for children.
