A FAMILY-RUN business has invested in a new storage and waste management facility in Droitwich, providing four new jobs.
Betts Envirometal, which recycles all forms of X-ray film for the NHS and leading aerospace businesses, has taken a five-year lease on a 6,222 sq ft industrial unit at Rushock Trading Estate on Kidderminster Road.
The letting will provide the waste management specialist with expanded storage and allow it to meet a growing demand for its services.
General manager Garry Farmer said: “Our business is capable of processing almost any type of ‘special’ or ‘controlled’ waste from any industry at competitive prices and that’s led to an influx of waste management work in the last 12 months.
“We have responded by investing significantly in new technology, people and products to ensure we continue to serve customers nationwide.
“Whilst our wedding ring sales temporarily decreased and jewellers were forced to close during the height of lockdown, our waste management business has continued to flourish, which highlights the benefits of being diversified.”
The company is part of the 260 year-old Betts Group and is the UK’s leading silver recovery and recycling provider.
