HORSES and their owners got into the festive spirit on Saturday (December 13) when Alvechurch Riding Club’s Christmas Show took place at Dodderhill Equestrian.
It featured a variety of events, including the ‘Chase me Charlie’, flag race, sack race, bending race and much more.
The usual catwalk became the horsewalk as animals vyed for a number of titles, such as best unplaited mane and tail, hairiest legs, best winter woolly coat, smartest clip and the horse the judges would most like to take home.
On top of that, there was a Christmas fancy dress competition and refreshments and those who went along could also try their luck in the raffle. Prizes included a Christmas hamper and a £50 dog-grooming voucher from sponsor Jo Chatwin, along with wine and chocolates
The prizes to enter classes were supplied by Skilts Stables/livery and Absolute Horses Tardebigge, which were both sponsors of the show.
