FINAL RESULTS - Worcestershire County Council Elections - Clean sweep for Conservatives in Droitwich divisions

THE FIRST results from the Droitwich divisions have been declared at the Worcestershire County Council Election Count.


Droitwich East

In Droitwich East, Conservative Bob Brookes has held onto his seat with a massive 1,657 majority over fellow town councillor, Labour’s Alan Humphries.

The tallies among the rest of the candidates were pretty even with just 38 votes separating the second-placed candidate and the Liberal Democrats’ Paul Wiseman. Full result below.


Bob Brookes – Conservative Party – 2,035 (ELECTED)

Neil Franks – Green Party – 360

Alan Humphries – Labour Party – 378

Paul Wiseman – Liberal Democrats – 340


Droitwich West

Next to declare was Droitwich West and an equally pleasing result for the Tories – Richard Morris held onto his seat with more than double the second placed candidate – Labour’s Anthony Kelly.


Anthony Kelly – Labour Party – 622

Richard Morris – Conservative Party – 1,386 (ELECTED)

Chas Murray – Liberal Democrats – 211



Bowbrook made it three out of three for the Conservatives with Marc Bayliss polling 1,968 of the 3,354 votes cast (58.67 per cent). Second was Liberal Democrat stalwart Margaret Rowley.

Christopher Edmondson – Reform UK – 140

Alex Stuart Knudson – Labour Party – 445

Margaret Rowley – Liberal Democrats – 801



Ombersley stays blue – and by quite a margin – Tony Miller holds his seat, polling 2,114 – that gives him a 1,782 majority over Val Humphries.

Sebastian Parsons – Liberal Democrats – 202
