Find out about Droitwich's timber framed buildings on history walk

Droitwich Editorial 2nd Oct, 2015 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

SPA residents can find out about the history of some of the town’s oldest buildings at a special event.

A history walk along Friar Street and the High Street, guided by archaeologist Rob Hedge, will start at 2pm on Sunday (October 4) outside the Hop Pole.

The stroll into the past, organised by the Historic Droitwich Project, will see Rob talk about the timber-framed buildings and their historical and archaeological significance.

Rob will also speak about their context within the landscape of the town and surrounding area.

Two previous history walks proved very popular and the organisers are hoping for a similar response.

Places are strictly limited to 20 so everyone will be able to hear clearly.

Call Carolyn Morris on 01527 861045 to book a place.

The free event is funded by the Heritage Lottery as part of our Historic Droitwich Project.
