FIVE fire crews have put out a large house fire in a two-storey house in Droitwich.
The blaze broke out just before 3pm at the terraced house in Burrish Street.
Residents living in the area have been told to keep their doors and windows because there is a lot of smoke coming from the building.
Two crews from Droitwich, two from Worcester and one from Bromsgroev, along with the incident command unit from Wyre Forest, are in attendance.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are battling the blaze with two water jets.
Police are also at the scene and one man – in his 40s – has been treated by West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics.
The main fire has been extinguished and dampening down is in progress.
Positive pressure ventilation is also being used to rid the property of smoke.
