FORMER Birmingham City and Aston Villa stars will be taking on the Droitwich Spa Veterans at a special football match this Sunday, November 19.
Among those taking to the field for Monica FC v Droitwich Spa Vets Over 35s in the next round of the Major Cup will be ex-Blues players Lee Carsley, Paul Devlin and Darren Byfield along with Villa’s Lee Hendrie Droitwich Spa Vets.
It is set to be a tough task for the Spa team against their higher graded opponents.
Kick off is 10.30am at King George V playing fields.
All the Spa Vets teams have started the season well – the Over 35s sit fourth in their league following their recent 2-2 draw at Sheldon FC whilst the Over 50s remain unbeaten in their quest for the Worcester FA Super Vets League title. The walking football side are also unbeaten after their recent 2-0 victory at Hartshill Strollers FC.
