FOUR more cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in Worcestershire today, taking the number of confirmed cases in the county to six.
The Department for Health and Social Care does not release information on exact areas or who has contracted the virus.
Worcestershire County Council says it is working closely with Public Heath England and the NHS following the news.
Dr Kathryn Cobain, director of Public Health for Worcestershire, said: “I’d like to reassure people that we are working with health partners at a county, regional and national level to do everything we can to stop the virus spreading and ensure the people of Worcestershire are protected.
“It’s really important that everyone follows the latest guidance about staying at home if you show even the slightest symptoms of coronavirus.
“For most people who get coronavirus, it will be a mild infection, but we all have a role to play in protecting the most vulnerable people in society.”
Good hygiene remains the best prevention.
Washing your hands regularly and thoroughly is extremely import and if you cough, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue and dispose of it immediately.
