Droitwich Editorial 13th Feb, 2023   0

STAFF and residents at Droitwich’s Woodland View Care Home are inviting residents to join them in an open week over the February half term.

The fun will get under way on Shrove Tuesday, February 21, where between 10am and midday guests can decorate pancakes with their favourite toppings.

Woodland Views cinema room will be open in the afternoon from midday, although guests are asked to book tickets in advance.

On Wednesday, over 65s can enjoy a few games of bingo and brunch from 11am, while at the same time on Thursday, families can bring their little ones for a Stay and Play session with games, activities and sensory toys.

The cinema will re-open for a family-friendly film on Friday at 2.45pm, and the open week will end on Saturday, February 25 with a day party featuring live entertainment, homemade refreshments, children’s activities and a visit from Alne Wood Ponies.

The Regional Director at Woodland View, Ilze Careless, said: “We can’t wait to welcome the community to our home – all of the residents and staff are really excited.

“We have a week jam-packed full of activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and we hope to see lots of people here.”
