THERE will be plenty of family fun at Ombersley Endowed First School and Nursery on Saturday (July 5) when the annual summer fair takes place.

Among the activities between 12midday and 3pm will be tug o’ war, welly-wanging, tombolas, skittles, a tin can alley, hook-a-duck, pony rides, competitions, face-painting, a bouncy castle and much more.

There will be a range of refreshments, including tea, cakes and a barbecue and there will be dancing around the Maypole – a tradition which has been kept alive at the school since it opened in 1876.

Headteacher Caroline Moore said: “Our summer fair is always a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

“We hope you will be able to join us.”

All cash raised at the event, organised by the Friends of Ombersley School, will go towards funding additional resources for the school.

Admission is £1 for adults and free for children. The adult entry fee includes a lucky programme and entry to a prize draw.
