A CROWD-FUNDING campaign has been set up to raise £2,500 to help cover travel costs for the Droitwich Spa pan-disability football team.
A gofundme page has been set up, with the cash raised going to allow the club’s players and carers to travel to fulfil its league fixtures.
The adult pan-disability football team was the brainchild of Ryan Simpson.
After Droitwich Spa football club returned to the town last August, Ryan messaged them on social media about setting up a pan-disability team.
The pan-disability side played its first-ever game a year ago this month.
Pan-disability football is available to people with Autism, Asperger’s, a Learning Disability, Cerebral Palsy and mental health issues, who are unable to play in mainstream teams.
Players in the team are mainly from Droitwich, with a few players from Worcester and Wychbold also representing the side.
The team has been set up to allow people to socialise more, keep fit and improve their mental health.
