Groups urged to take part in the Droitwich Christmas Tree Festival and help the Spa sparkle

A RALLYING call has been issued to community groups and voluntary organisations across Droitwich to take part in this year’s Christmas Tree Festival at St Andrew’s Church.
The event has been held for the past two years and has proved a hit in the run-up to the festive season.
Organiser Val Hawley said: “It gets more popular each year and it is an opportunity to showcase groups that meet in the local community.”
The tree lights will be illuminated on November 26, the same day as Droitwich’s annual festive lights are switched on.
They will then remain lit until after Christmas.
Rev Bev Jameson, Team Vicar Droitwich Spa, Salwarpe and Hindlip with Martin Hussingtree and Dean of Women’s Ministry Diocese of Worcester, said: “Everyone loves coming to see the trees and this year St Andrew’s Messy Church will also be taking part.
“The children will be making baubles and other decorations for our Christmas tree.”
Any groups wanting to take part should email [email protected] or call 01905 794952
