HANBURY Hall will showcase a performance of ‘Orlando: The Queer Element’ as part of celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality.
Inspired by Virginia Woolf’s 1928 novel ‘Orlando: A Biography’ and its 1992 film adaptation, directed by Sally Potter, the production will premiere at 7pm on Wednesday, June 14, with an additional showing on Thursday.
The show, by Clay and Diamonds, will tour National Trust properties as part of the Prejudice and Pride project and Orlando: The Queer Element will be performed for schools at 10.30am on Thursday and next Friday.
