A PENSIONER and her daughter are tackling the London Marathon this Sunday, April 22, to raise cash for Children with Cancer, writes Esther Payne.
Diane Brian, 65, from Hanbury, has already run the marathon twice – in 2013 and 2016 – with her son.
Diane, who is a run leader and captain at Droitwich Athletics Club, is running with her daughter Katie and together the pair have raised more than £4,000 for their charity.
Diane said: “I started running at the age of 57 when my son who lives in Berlin, entered me in a race at the Olympia Stadion.
“I carried on running here and abroad, completing 10Ks, half-marathons and three full marathons since, and I got Katie running too.
“I have also qualified for the Boston marathon next year.”
