STAFF at Hartlebury Castle are celebrating after receiving an accolade from Visit England.
The historic landmark won the Best Told Story award, granted to attractions which convey a compelling narrative to its visitors, through technical innovation or enthusiastic staff and volunteers.
Visit England’s Visitor Attraction Accolades assess all aspects of the attraction, from visitor welcome and customer care to exhibitions, cleanliness, and catering.
At Hartlebury Castle visitors can explore the Bishop’s Palace and Worcestershire County Museum.
Visit England director, Andrew Stokes said: “These accolades recognise different aspects of the visitor experience with attractions who really go the extra mile, whether it’s offering exceptional food and drink or magical storytelling.”
Museum manager, Rachel Robinson said: “We are delighted to receive the Best Told Story accolade for Hartlebury Castle.
“This is a fantastic recognition of the hard work carried out by the team and the successful collaboration between Hartlebury Castle Preservation Trust and Museums Worcestershire.”
Director of Hartlebury Castle Preservation Trust, Steve Bagnall, said: “To be awarded the Best Told Story accolade is a wonderful achievement for the team.
“Alongside our staff, our amazing volunteers play an essential part in the visitor experience, and it is brilliant to be able to share this recognition with them.”
