ALL LANES have now re-opened following the seven-vehicle crash on the northbound M5 between Droitwich and Bromsgrove.
The incident, involving cars and HGVs, happened this afternoon between Junction 5 and 4a led to traffic coming to a standstill and delays of up to an hour.
The crash has had a knock-on effect on other roads across Worcestershire, including the A38.
Miraculously the only injury was one woman with chest pains who refused treatment at the scene.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it sent a paramedic officer, members of the Hazardous Area Rescue Team (HART) and an ambulance to the scene but the ambulance was stood down shortly after the call when it became apparent it was not needed.
