A RAILTOUR operator is set to run its final charter train this weekend following a decision to close the company after fifty years of service, writes Neil Gordon.
Pathfinder Tours will cease operating its long-established services with a final train from Wiltshire to Manchester and back on Saturday, December 20.
The end of the line for the much respected company comes after owner Barry Cordell decided to retire after 30 years with the business.
The last-ever tour, The Pathfinder Finale, will be hauled by class 52 diesel locomotive D1015, with the train calling at Worcestershire Parkway at 9.37am, before passing through Bromsgrove at 9.49am and Longbridge at 10.00am.
The return leg is booked through Longbridge at 7.49pm, Bromsgrove 7.59pm before calling at Worcestershire Parkway at 8.10pm.
