HARD-working community volunteers from the Droitwich Spa Litter Squad have been out and about thos morning.
Disappointingly, the group found a large amount of road signs in hedgerows, as well as litter.
The area targeted today was the Wych Way Inn (Harvester) restaurant
The group has been campaigning to get local authorities and Highways operators to collect signs when they are no longer needed.
The cost of replacing them runs into at least hundreds of pounds, probably thousands when taking into account the ones found in previous litterpicks.
When belonging to Government agencies and councils, that bill will be picked up by the taxpayer.
