AN ILLUSTRATED talk to remember Droitwich historian Nelly Copson will take place at 10.30am tomorrow (Saturday).
‘Remembering Nelly’ will be given by another local historian Paul Jones – the author of the book ‘Nelly Copson’.
Paul was fortunate to have known Nelly (pictured here with antiques expert Henry Sandon) and frequently visited her sharing his photographs with her.
In turn, he gleaned a wealth of information on the history of Droitwich from the unique and familiar resident.
His recollections are sure to be enlightening and shed much light on someone who was for many years a much loved and well respected resident of Droitwich.
The presentation will follow the AGM of the Dodderhill Parish Survey Project, the lead organisation in the Historic Droitwich research project.
The AGM will begin at 10am and during it, officers will be elected and there will be reports from the chairperson and treasurer of the project.
An update on the progress and findings of the Historic Droitwich will follow, together with plans for the future of the history research project, will also be given.
