SECURITY is set to be improved at Droitwich’s Chawson Lane allotments.
New main gates will be bought and installed, at a cost of £1,900, after recent incidents including a break-in during new year and a stolen car being set on fire there last month.
The cash will be part of Droitwich Town Council’s allocated 2023/24 land holdings maintenance budget.
The upgrade is similar to gates installed at the entrances to the Westwood Lodge and Vines Lane allotments sites completed in 2021 and 2022.
