A DROITWICH school have showcased their stellar theatrical talent with a rendition of Mary Poppins to delight the crowds.
The timeless classic was brought to life by RGS Dodderhill’s pupils under the direction of drama and head of performing arts teacher, Miss Ashley Humphries and was delivered over three shows.
Pupils at the school ‘truly embodied’ the famous characters of Mary Poppins with ‘captivating musical numbers’ performed with ‘precision and flair’ according to school representatives.
Led by the talented Winnie as Mary Poppins, Alice as Mr Banks, and Lola as the playful Michael, the cast delivered performances brimming with warmth, humour, and emotion.
The pupils were also excited to welcome local schools including Pitmaston Primary School, Alvechurch CofE Middle School. Hanbury First School, Lickey Hill Primary School, Bromsgrove School, and St Andrew’s First School to watch the matinee performances.
The school were ‘incredibly proud’ of all those involved in the production and look forward to continuing to inspire and empower pupils through the performing arts.
