PEOPLE thinking about standing in the Wychavon District or Droitwich Town Council elections this year can go along to special seminars to find out more on how to go about it, writes Eve Watson.
The election team will offer candidates advice and explain the election process of standing as a councillor in preparation for May 2, 2019.
Elaine Dicks, Wychavon’s electoral services manager, said: “These seminars are a great way of preparing for the elections in May, both in building confidence and knowledge of the process.
“The potential candidates will have the chance to ask any questions and gain invaluable advice in return.”
The seminars will be held at the Civic Centre in Pershore on at 6.15pm on February 26 for district council elections and at 6.15pm on February 28 for town and parish council elections.
