Isobel to hold 'Blind Date with a Book' event in Droitwich to raise funds for children's literacy charity

Droitwich Editorial 14th Jun, 2024   0

A DROITWICH student will be holding a book sale with a difference at the Old Library in the town tomorrow (Saturday) to raise funds for the Book Trust.

As well as helping the charity – which is dedicated to getting children reading – ‘Blind Date with a Book’ will count towards Isobel’s volunteering hours for her Duke of Edinburgh award.

All the books on offer are £1 each but those buying them will be unable to see what they are getting.

Isobel is a student at Droitwich Spa High School and hopes the event will encourage those who go along and try a book without seeing the cover or blurb of the book.

Blind Date with a Book takes place between 10am and midday at the Old Library.
