A COUNTY funeral directors has been honoured for going the extra mile during the Coronavirus pandemic by being named a UK Business Hero 2020.
Jackson Family Funeral Directors, which has premises in Worcester, Upton and Malvern, was only one of 25 businesses to receive the accolade, nominated by the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.

Jackson Family Funeral Directors also received the award for ‘Kindness in the Community’ for their selfless commitment to families across the region.
Matthew Jackson, director at Jackson Family Funeral Directors, said: “We are overwhelmed by this accolade and I would personally like to thank each member of our team for their hard work and dedication throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The Worcestershire community is so important to us and it’s been an honour to support and care for families during this very difficult time.”
“I would also like to extend my thanks to the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, who’s commitment to the local business community has been second to none.”
Businesses were congratulated by HRH the Countess of Wessex who said: “I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your positive contributions, congratulate you on your recognition as a UK Business Hero and wish you every success in your endeavours in the weeks and months ahead as we look to the recovery of the country.”
