Jazz night raises £800 for Droitwich Lido

A JAZZ evening has raised more than £800 towards supporting Droitwich Lido.

The event, organised by the Friends of Droitwich Spa Lido (FODSL), featured band Jazz Alchemy and singer Starly, who created a great atmosphere on the night.

There was a wide variety of music played – from the 1930s to the present day – and wine and nibbles were included in the ticket price.

Droitwich Mayor Bob Brookes attended and Coun Richard Morris said: “It was a super evening where there was plenty of dancing and high spirits.”

Suzi Wood, chairman of FODSL, thanked everyone involved in organising this year’s events and urged Droitwich supporters of the Lido to look out for the annual fashion show scheduled for March next year.
