RELIEVED sighs and happy faces were seen at Droitwich Spa High School today after the Year 11 students received their GCSE results.
From 8am students started arriving at the school anticipating their grades.
Students this year, unlike most, had their schooling transformed by the pandemic, which had resulted in months of socially distanced or online teaching.
Natalie Waters, the headteacher at Droitwich Spa High School said: “The current generation has had challenges unknown to any of their predecessors.
“For the overwhelming majority it was a moment of relief as well as delight.
“We are thrilled that so many of our students have had the resilience and determination to recover from the impact that COVID has had on their lives.
“After these unique uncertainties, they have at last a clear path before them – and for almost all, it has led to the destination of their choice.”
