THE WAIT was over for the students of Droitwich Spa High School as they nervously received their A-Level results yesterday.
Pupils were celebrating another successful year as more than half the grades achieved at the school were A*to B.
Amongst the high achievers was Mark Harrison, who received an A* in French, A in German and A in Physics and is going to study Chinese at Oxford University.
Tom Hughes achieved an A in Maths, an A in Chemistry, a B in Physics and an A in the Extended Project Qualification.
He going to study Chemistry next year.
Annabel Williams achieved an A in Psychology, C in English and a C in Philosophy and Ethics, she is going to study Archaeology and Anthropology at Bristol University.
Karolina Pioro, who achieved an A in Psychology, a B in Theatre studies and B in English Literature, is going to do Psychology at Bristol University.
Headteacher Natalie Waters said: “In a year where there has been much uncertainty about the new examinations we are delighted that our students have performed so well and achieved places at their chosen universities.”
