A FUNDRAISING coffee and tea morning will be held in Droitwich from 10am to 12pm on May 4 as part of Dementia UK’s ‘Time for a Cuppa’.
The event, in the John Corbett Room at Droitwich Community Hall, Heritage Way, will raise vital cash for the charity’s dementia specialist Admiral Nurses.
There will be plenty of cake available for neighbours, friends, family and anyone else who wants to come along to the event.
Dementia is the leading cause of death in the UK and someone in Britain develops dementia every three minutes – the time it takes for a kettle to boil, hence the tea and coffee theme.
The Admiral Nurses provide life-changing advice and support to anyone affected by dementia but, with the rising number of families impacted by the condition, thousands of people are not getting the support they need.
Time for a Cuppa events will be taking place across the country between May 1 and 8 to help the charity to continue delivering vast support to families with dementia.
Everyone can come together to enjoy a cup of tea (or coffee) and a slice of cake in return for a donation to the charity.
Every cuppa poured and every penny raised will help the charity to grow the number of specialist dementia nurses so more families can access their support.
