THE DROITWICH Go Bright for Sight 5K Colour Run, will be returning for its fourth year at new venue Churchfileds Farm, to raise money for country charity Sight Concern.
The event on July 1 will be opened by DJ Alex Kear with a bubble disco, followed by a welcome from the Deputy Mayor of Droitwich and Churchfields.
Runners will then set off at 11am.
Starting off dressed in white, runners will be multi-coloured by the time they reach the finish line after running through various different paint stations.
Churchfields Farm has chosen Sight Concern as their charity of the year, and is planning to make a special ice cream to celebrate, by including as many of the colours from the Sight Concern logo as possible in the ice cream.
Gillain Kerton, from Churchfields Farm, said:” We are thrilled to be hosting the Go Bright for Sight Colour Run.
“It is such a happy and memorable event that brings the community together to have fun and raises funds for a special local sight loss charity.”
Sight Concern will be on hand with sight guides to enable people with sight loss to participate in the event.
Chief Officer of the charity, Jenny Gage said:” Last year over 500 people took part and the charity raised over £6,000.”
Spectators can enjoy live music, Churchfields food and refreshments, stalls and activities, while the run takes place.
