NEARLY 30 daredevils literally embraced the spring to raise more than £1,000 for a charity event in Droitwich.
The 29 brave residents took part in a 175ft bungee jump from a crane at Droitwich Spa’s British Legion, organised by Kelly Tidbury – and have raised £1,300 and counting for Leukaemia Care.
Kelly said: “It was a fantastic day, there were 29 people bungee jumping including myself and it was an amazing experience. There was a great turnout despite the weather for the fun day.
“I love event planning and I thought there was no better way than to volunteer for a great local charity that doesn’t seem to get as much support as others.
“We have counted £1,300 so far but there is lots more to collect.”
The day also featured food vans, bouncy castles, an indoor market and kickboxing demo, which have all raised more money waiting to be collected and added to the grand total.
