AN EXHIBITION of Droitwich football memorabilia will be officially opened at the town’s heritage centre and tourist information centre tomorrow (Wednesday).
It follows a recent appeal, featured on the front page of The Standard, for people to send in their items, photographs and memories of football clubs in Droitwich.
‘Droitwich Football Through Time’ celebrates a number of local teams, starting from the earliest teams in 1886 to the present day Droitwich Spa Football Club.
The display will be available to view in the Council Chamber at St Richard’s House, Victoria Square, and is accessed via the Tourist Information Centre.
Heritage manager Lisa Backhouse said: “Come and see whether you can spot any familiar faces, or perhaps you might even see yourself on a team photograph.”
The collection is available to view between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, and from 10am to 1.30pm on Saturdays.
