A DROITWICH girl lost her locks for charity and to help children who lose their hair through treatments for cancer and other illnesses.
Harriet Joseph, six, said she wanted her hair cut short to donate it to others who were unfortunate not to have any.
Her mum Amanda said: “Harriet’s always loved her long hair, dressing up as Rapunzel when ever she could, she always admired Disney princesses.
“When she came across poorly children she decided with no hesitation that she wanted to help these little girls be a princess too.”

She contacted The Little Princess Trust and fund-raising got under way – within three days Harriet had raised more than £1,000 and was ‘beyond excited’ to have her hair cut.
Amanda said: “She told me she couldn’t wait for little girls to be able to look like her.”
She had her locks lopped at the Expressions Hair Team in Tessall Lane, Northfield, earlier today.
“She loved every minute of being in the hairdressing chair, was super happy at the selfless act she was doing.
“I am so proud of Harriet and the awareness she has raised for the beautiful charity.
“£1.000 also enables The Little Princess Trust help fund research to discover new drugs to help poorly children with cancer.”
