PUPILS and staff at a Droitwich school raised nearly £2,000 last year for a number of different charities.
Each year Witton Middle School on Old Coach Road chooses a number of national charity events to take part in and raise money for them by holding dress down days, coffee mornings and cake sales.
Among the causes they supported were Marie Curie Cancer Care, for which they raised £232.92, Sport Relief (£313.16) and Children in Need (£375).
In December, pupils also donated non-perishable food, toiletries and warm clothing for the Maggs Day Centre in Worcester together with a cheque for £243.23.
