Knitted poppy wreath to be laid on Remembrance Sunday by Droitwich's SPArkles WI

Tristan Harris 5th Nov, 2018 Updated: 5th Nov, 2018

DROITWICH’s SPArkles WI will lay this knitted poppy wreath during the town’s annual Remembrance Sunday parade.

Belinda Heywood, who runs SPArkles Knit and Natter group which created the tribute, said: “We do give a donation to the Royal British Legion, the same amount as it would cost to buy a wreath.

“This is one my favourite projects of the year.”

This year November 11 will be even more poignant as it marks the centenary of the end of the First World War.
