Lead stolen from roof of church in Hanbury

THIEVES broke the padlock of a church gate in Hanbury and then stole lead from the roof.

Damage was also caused to the stonework in the incident in Astwood Lane.

A pile of the lead removed was found at the side of the church following the incident, which happened between 4pm on Sunday (April 16) and 7.30pm on Monday (April 17).

 

 

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
