FOSTERING families from across Worcestershire visited Little Owl Farm Park in Dunhampton.
The memorable day out at the venue, in between Stourport and Droitwich, took place last week.
Carers, children and young people came together for a day of fun and connection.
The event offered a wide range of activities, from meeting animals to exploring soft play and outdoor attractions.
Throughout the day, families had the opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, with carers catching up while children and young people enjoyed the activities on offer.
As part of the day, children received special gifts, including beautiful handmade quilts created by local residents and coordinated by The Upton Stitchery.
Each child also took home a book from a generous donation of 200 books provided by Worcester-based publisher 3dtotal. These were gifted as part of the National Year of Reading, a UK-wide campaign aimed at encouraging more people to discover the joy of reading.

‘A lovely day out’
One foster carer Jo said: “We loved it, second time going and we really enjoyed it again.
“Such a nice opportunity for the partners to attend and hang out together.”
Another, Anne, said: “It was nice meeting up with old friends and re-establishing friendships.
“I’ve got friends through fostering I’ve known for 15 years.
“It was just such a lovely day out.
“So nice to meet people with different age children.”
Adam Johnston, Worcestershire County Council’s director of children’s services, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer opportunities like this to our foster carers and the children and young people they support.
“These days out make a real difference, giving families the chance to spend quality time together, build relationships and create happy memories.”
The day highlighted the importance of bringing fostering families together, helping to strengthen support networks and celebrate the vital role carers play across Worcestershire.
