THERE was a lucky escape for drivers this morning when two lorries and a car collided on the northbound carriageway of the M5 between Worcester and Droitwich.
The collision happened around 7.04am between Junction 6 and 5.
An ambulance attended the incident but, fortunately, none of the people involved needed medical treatment.
Three lanes of the carriageway were closed for a number of hours while the emergency services dealt with the scene and the vehicles recovered.
There were delays of up to 60 minutes and drivers planning to use the route were told to find alternative routes.
The carriageway completely reopened around 10.55am.
