TWO DRIVERS had a lucky escape yesterday (Monday) after a crash involving a 7.5tonne lorry and a van collided on the M5.
The incident, which happened about 8am close to Junction 5 of the M5, saw severe damage sustained to the back of the van and ladders from the van go through the windscreen of the lorry.
Miraculously no one was trapped or injured in the collision and, after being checked at the scene by ambulance staff, both drivers were discharged.
There were two fire crews from Bromsgrove and one from Worcester were sent to the scene which made the vehicles safe.
