M5 car fire causes traffic delays

Droitwich Editorial 8th Dec, 2016 Updated: 8th Dec, 2016   0

A CAR fire has caused traffic delays on the M5.

At 6.12 this morning (Thursday), fire crews from Droitwich and Bromsgrove attended the scene southbound between junctions five and six.

Two lanes were closed.

A spokesperson from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two breathing apparatus were used.

“Two hose reel jets and foam were also used and dry powder to extinguish the fuel fire.”

All lanes are now running on the M5 southbound between Junction five and Junction six.

Delays should start to ease.
