THE RENOWNED Maggini String Quartet are set to return to the Spa for the eighth time to kick off Droitwich Concert Club’s 2014/15 season.
The concert is being held at Droitwich Methodist Church, Worcester Road, at 7.30pm tomorrow (Saturday).
The quartet, formed in 1988, has received many international awards for its recording on its Naxos record label.
The programme tomorrow includes the first quartet by Moeran and works by Haydn, Quartet in A Opus 55 No 1 and Mendelssohn’s Quartet in E flat Opus 44 No 3.
Tickets, at £15 for adults and £5 for under 17s, are available in advance on 01905 779736 or at the door on the night.
As well as their outstanding concert series at home and abroad the members of the Quartet have an international reputation as chamber music coaches.
